Your child may be closer than you think
On Edexcel’s GCSE Maths Higher paper last summer, a grade 5 needed 82 marks out of 240 and a grade 6 needed 114. That’s 32 marks between them, about 13% of the exam.
At A-Level, an A needed 210 out of 300 and an A* needed 254: 44 marks between them.
Marks like these come from specific, learnable topics. Find which ones your child is missing, and the next grade stops feeling far away.
The grade opens, or closes, the next door

A-Level: the top universities ask for an A* in Maths
A-Level Maths is essential for STEM, engineering, economics and Maths degrees, and the best universities set the bar high.
